Meet the Practitioners and Staff
Candace Jania L.Ac., FABORM
Candace Jania is the owner and founder of the Acupuncture Center for Reproductive Health. After receiving a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, she continued her studies with a post-graduate pre-med curriculum from Hunter College in NYC. She then attended the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine for her training in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.
Candace is licensed both nationally (NCCAOM) and in the state of NJ (L.Ac.). She received one of the tops scores to become board certified as a Fellow on the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine(FABORM). She is an Executive Board Member of the New Jersey Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is also a member of RESOLVE and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Candace has extensive training and experience with issues concerning reproductive health- specifically fertility, pregnancy and gynecological imbalances. She has studied extensively with Sharon Weizenbaum and Yaron Siedman, who teaches the Hunyuan method for fertility.
Because of her personal story of infertility, Candace has much compassion and empathy for those trying to conceive and now has her own success story to share.
Joanne Parker L.Ac.
Joanne Parker is an acupuncturist and herbalist who has been in practice for eight years. She first found her love of Chinese medicine while living in Java, Indonesia for four years. While teaching English there, she spent her free time studying ancient Chinese healing techniques. Upon her return she obtained her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York. She has an undergraduate degree in English literature and Music from University of Vermont. Joanne is NCCAOM certified in both acupuncture and herbs and is licensed in the state of New Jersey. She obtained her Certificate of Life Coaching from Coach Training Alliance and her Certification One in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Joanne specializes in infertility and women's internal medicine and has extensive experience in herbal medicine. For years she has studied the connection between the mind, emotions, and the physical body and has taught numerous workshops in the area on the subject. Joanne's strength is her ability to really listen and make you feel understood and supported during your healing process.
Kamini Patel L.Ac.
Kamini is a licensed acupuncturist and NCAAOM board certified herbalist in New Jersey and New York. She is an enthusiastic and compassionate practitioner in the area of fertility and pregnancy. Kamini received a masters degree for Traditional Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York. Her undergraduate studies were in Engineering and South Asia studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Kamini has studied reproductive medicine with Daniel Camburn, L.Ac., formerly the clinical director of the Berkley Center for Reproductive Wellness in New York City. She is continuing her medical education under Thea Elijah, L.Ac. a five elements practitioner in Vermont. She is an active member of the fertility groups RESOLVE and American Society for Reproductive Medicine as well as the local New Jersey Acupuncture Association.
Dawn Regan, office manager
Dawn Regan started at the Acupuncture Center in August of 2011. She finds all aspects of running the office pleasurable. She feels the practitioners and clients make coming to work enjoyable along with the relaxing and peaceful environment.
Dawn was a stay at home mom for many years. She worked from home volunteering for the USTA and was named the USTA Team Tennis Coordinator of the Year in 2003. In addition to volunteering, she assisted in running a small retail business. She plays tennis for enjoyment, exercise and to relieve stress. She now appreciates acupuncture on a weekly basis.
Gail Doheny, reception
Gail joined ACRH in August of 2011. She is an important part of the reception staff and her pleasant demeanor is always a welcome sight to both patients and staff alike.
