- Changes in serum cortisol and prolactin associated with acupuncture during controlled ovarian hyperstimulation in women undergoing in vitro fertilization–embryo transfer treatment.

- Acupuncture and IVF Poor Responders: A Cure?
Magarelli & Cridennda 2004. - This study is the first to demonstrate that the use of acupuncture in patients with poor prognoses (elevated Peak FSH, longer history of infertility, poor sperm morphology) can achieve similar pregnancy rates to normal prognosis patients.
- Acupuncture and Good Prognosis IVF Patients: Synergy
Magarelli, Cridennda, and Cohen 2004 - In previously published data, Acupuncture was reserved for Poorer Prognosis patients and enhanced outcomes were observed. In this study, it was shown that Good Prognosis patients would also benefit from inclusion of published Acupuncture protocols. This is also the first publication of Birth outcome data in Acupuncture treated IVF patients. Acupuncture significantly increased birth outcomes; it significantly decreased ectopic pregnancies and miscarriage rates
- Acupuncture: Impact on Pregnancy Outcomes in IVF Patients
Magarelli, Cridennda, and Cohen 2004 - IVF programs can significantly improve their IVF outcomes ( PR, THB, SAB and Ectopic) by adding acupuncture protocols, specifically Steiner Victorin and Paulus. Further studies of Traditional Chine Medicine modalities of treatment are underway. We are organizing a multicenter prospective study to confirm our observations.
- Reduction of blood flow impedance in the uterine arteries of infertile women with electroacupuncture
Elisabet Stener-Victorin, Urban Waldenström, Sven A. Andersson and Matts Wikland - These findings suggest that a series of electroacupuncture treatments increases the uterine artery blood flow.
