I was diagnosed with PCOS and my doctor wanted me to try clomid/IVF. I wanted to approach my infertility a more natural, holistic way and after my first meeting with Candace, I knew this was exactly what I was looking for.

I had a pinched nerve in neck caused major pain in left arm first & then later in the right arm. Pain in both the left and right arms appears to be alleviated/eliminated for the most part. Overall outcome is definitely satisfactory.

I would recommend others to have acupuncture treatments.

I took a three pronged approach to dealing with this pinched nerve in my neck due to herniated spine disks (chiropractic care, acupuncture treatments and epidermal/anti inflammatory/cortisone family neck injection). - BM

Just wanted to tell you I had the 12 week appt. and everything looked good! We got to hear the heartbeat, which was really amazing, it was 167. The screening test measurement was good and they took lots of blood (not fun). By the way, the tech thought he saw a little something down there, but could not confirm the sex 100%. In that case, you were right!!!

Even before we found out that I was pregnant, I spent many hours trying to find the right words to thank you. I am completely overwhelmed by emotion every time I think about what you have done for me and the countless ways that you have helped me. To say that you have had a positive impact on my life is an understatement. Your assistance, guidance, expertise, compassion, and genuine concern have changed my life forever. I would highly recommend the Center for infertility treatment – I wish I had found them sooner! Prior to coming to the Center, I had undergone four unsuccessful IUIs and countless exams and blood tests spanning about a year and a half. Although I had no issues getting pregnant with my first child, my fertility doctors were highly pessimistic about my chances for a second. I had no prior experience with acupuncture, but Candace and Kamini took the time to answer my questions and were thoughtful in their treatment plan. At first, I doubted I would find the time to attend weekly treatments, but soon found these to be an unexpectedly enjoyable hour of tranquility in my otherwise hectic schedule. I have had a wonderful experience at ACRH!! I came to ACRH with a lot of emotional damage from the opinions of RE specialists over a 2 year period. Not only did Jen and Candace help me release this baggage, they regulated my cycle!! (meds couldn’t even regulate my cycles) I started having appointments (just herbs) with Candace in 1/2010. I started to add acupuncture with the herbs in 5/2010 as I was preparing for fertility treatments. As I was gearing up for a second attempt at IVF, I resumed the herbs and acupuncture on the “break” cycle and got pregnant on my own!!! Everything has been smooth sailing over the past 9 ½ weeks!
Candace has a very calming effect and gave me soo much hope and positivity. She also shares in the excitement of success! The office is very cozy, zen, and ALWAYS makes you feel welcome. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for making it such a great experience!!!

I originally came to ACRH because I wasn’t getting my period or ovulating. I was trying to conceive and wanted to do it the most natural way possible. My experience was wonderful! Throughout the time I was a patient at ACRH, the acupuncturists not only helped my medical situation but also provided emotional support- much needed when trying to conceive! The treatments were painless and relaxing and I always looked forward to coming.
The best part though is that through acupuncture and herbal medicine, I was able to conceive without fertility drugs. I am now 13 weeks pregnant and so excited! L

I came to ACRH 2 years after conceiving my son via three rounds of IVF. After our son was born, we tried, unsuccessfully to expand our family and give our son a sibling. We again attempted ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) using Clomid, injectibles, timed intercourse and about 7 IUI’s. After three miscarriages, we visited ACRH and met Candace. Her assessment immediately gave us hope. She monitored me, listened to me and most importantly believed in our chance to conceive again. After just turning 43, it happened. Candace was excited and at the same time validated. She had believed in my chances all along. After many phone calls, sessions and emails of handholding and calming my fears, she finally gave me the independence and security to trust in my body that it now was about to take over. I am now 22 weeks pregnant with a healthy little person growing inside of me.

It was an emotional time for me when I sought help at ACRH, and found compassion and understanding. ACRH was a God send to my husband and I. We tried having a baby for over 17 months. We went through fertility treatments including 3 months of clomid with IUI's...nothing worked. I've always been fond of "natural" treatments and decided to look into acupuncture. After talking with a few different acupuncture centers, my husband found ACRH. This was the only center we found that dealt specifically with infertility. We were excited BEFORE we even talked to Candace. Once we talked with Candace on the phone about our concerns we became even more excited and couldn't wait to start. She made us feel so comfortable and confident. After walking in to her office depressed and frustrated, each week helped us to "lighten up". Candace asked us to give her 6 months and we agreed. Once Candace went on maternity leave, I started seeing Jennifer Law, who also is AMAZING!! Only 3 months later, I was pregnant!!! I couldn't believe it...until the morning sickness hit. Jennifer helped me get pregnant and helped with my morning sickness. If anyone out there is timid about acupuncture, I will be the first to tell you THAT IT WORKS...I am a true believer!! If you are in the same situation I was in, you have nothing to lose, it's the best decision I ever made. They tested a day early, i still got positive beta (165), so I am pregnant!!! They checked my beta 2 more times, and its been more than doubling. I am so happy, its finally sinking in for both me and hubby what this really means ;) We are both thinking that maybe we will be blessed with more than one .. we are supposed to see at the u/s at the end of next week. I am definitely very happy to have done acupunture prior and during the cycle. It was a really good experience for me. If i come across anyone going through ivf or trying to concieve, i will definitely recommend you.. I am sure that everyone can benefit from acupunture. EB

It has taken me awhile to write this because part of me was worried that this was a dream! I AM PREGNANT!!!! After trying for almost a year, and being told because of my "advanced maternal age" (I'm only 35!) and high FSH that getting pregnant without an IUI or IVF would not be possible, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because we are pregnant without an IUI or IVF! I remember the first time that I spoke with you on the phone, I instantly had a hope that I had lost many month before. That was the month after our failed IUI with injectibles cycle when I was told that we had to take a break because not only was I not pregnant but the medication left me with large cysts. We were devastated and I decided that I really wanted to give acupuncture and TCM herbs a try. At the same time we were preparing for IVF in a few months because the doctor told us that he thought that was our best shot after two failed IUI cycles. To our surprise, we did not need the specialist help…you were our miracle!
I just entered my second trimester (13 weeks and 3 days today), and other than feeling tired and some night-time nausea I feel great….and blessed! Your ability to know what I needed and support me has been wonderful. I can never thank you enough. We are already talking about conceiving number two next year, and I will absolutely be working with you to achieve that pregnancy as well!

Hi Candace. I was getting acupuncture treatment while going through my first IVF cycle. With your help I achieved a successful twin pregnancy. My babies are now 5 months old and such a joy. At a time when I was beginning to feel defeated by infertility, I learned about acupuncture and found Candace. At 30 yrs old and healthy, I was becoming very frustrated after trying for 17 months to have a baby. I suffered a miscarriage early on and tried several infertility treatments including a round of Clomid and Injectables. I was in despair. Frustration, stress and anxiety took over my day to day life. I couldn’t understand why I was not getting pregnant and the doctors could find nothing wrong with me. I decided I needed some peace and calm in my life so I signed up for a yoga class and began researching acupuncture. I first met with a local acupuncturist who I felt no connection with and he did not specialize in reproductive he alth. I asked SIRM to recommend someone and that is how I found Candace. After my incredible news, I had to write something to say "THANK YOU". As you know, prior to coming to you, I was told by my OB/GYN that I needed to go to a fertility specialist because my endometriosis was so bad and my cysts were so large (11cm) that it was going to be extremely difficult for me to get pregnant. After going to the fertility specialist, I was told that I would definitely need in-vitro fertilization, my husband and I decided at that point that we should try acupuncture, being that I was only 27 years old. When I met you, you were so positive and immediately provided me with a list of foods to avoid/include in my diet and it really changed my life. Between the acupuncture, the herbs, the diet change, and prayer, I became pregnant after trying for less than 2 months. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and my husband and I are happier than ever now. We were amazed to see how quickly we became pregnant after hearing from 2 doctors that this could not happen without IVF.

I tried one IUI and two IVF cycles all had failed when I was referred to Candace to try acupuncture. Honestly, I was skeptical at first; but I was desperate to get pregnant and knew at 41, I was running out of time, had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Working with and meeting Candace is one of the best things that could have happened.
After starting with Candace, I actually had one more failed IVF cycle and my insurance had run out so I decided to go back to IUI. Being told that the chance of me getting pregnant was “minuscule”, after my first IUI, I was pregnant! I had just found out that I was 6 weeks pregnant with my second child. Almost immediately after finding out my news, the morning sickness hit. And it wasn’t “morning” sickness – it was 24/7. I was horribly nauseous basically all day and night, to the point of almost being nonfunctional. The hardest part was that it made it incredibly difficult to take care of my 4 year old daughter.I was desperate to feel better. I had never tried acupuncture before, and I was a bit skeptical and nervous. However, after getting the ok from my ob/gyn, I went to Dr. Candace Jania at the New Jersey Center for Reproductive Health. Dr. Jania took a thorough intake of all my symptoms and treated me accordingly. I can honestly say that I am now a firm believer in the healing properties of acupuncture. I still had some nausea to contend with after being treated, but it helped tremendously to the point where I was able to take care of my daughter and tend to all the other household duties I had. I felt more energetic and it took the edge off all the morning sickness symptoms. Thirty years ago I began to experience a daily and intense burning sensation. I saw my gynecologist who prescribed several therapies, but they gave no relief. My discomforts continued, coming and going for over five years. At that point I saw a holistic doctor who diagnosed my condition saying it could be managed but not cured. Ten years ago I began having symptoms of a disease which had been diagnosed 20 years earlier. I found a pulmonologist who tried some approaches without success. During the first five years a general progression was seen, which led to a feeling of no hope and despair. It was time for an alternative approach! I searched for an acupuncturist and found Dr. Candace L. Jania. Within weeks some improvement was seen and after the first couple of months the symptoms of SARCOIDOSIS of the lungs became tolerable.
